Great Eco-choices From Townsville & Charters Towers Regional Councils
Updated: Jun 9, 2022
Temporary outdoor signage is a key element to successful promotion of local events. In the past, one of the main tools was corflute signs. This is a great material, and much progress has been made in recycling it over the past few years.
But a new product has now come available which is fully biodegradeable when printed with the new water based inks (like on our HP Latex 1000).
Townsville City Council and Eco Fiesta chose the Ace Outdoor Display Board to promote the Fiesta earlier this month.
Ace Outdoor is a double side coated display board, 100% fibre based, and is resistant to short-term water effects. This makes it ideal for temporary outdoor signage. It is becyclable and biodegradable. It can also be custom shaped using our Kongsberg Cutting Table to increase impact of the signage.
Charter's Towers Regional Council has also moved to this more enviro-friendly choice for their temporary outdoor signage to promote Queensland Day.
For the lovers of sign creation detail, this Ace Board needed to be folded to form a post wrapper. To make this possible, we used the Kongsberg to rout precisely angled channels where folds were needed.
Well done to both these councils for choosing a more environmentally friendly path for their temporary outdoor signage.
